Hello, my name is Francisco and I am in the final year of my MSc in Economics at Bocconi University. Previously, I did my BSc in Economics at Nova SBE. After having done advanced graduate-level courses in mathematics, statistics, and microeconomics, I am now prepared to give classes on undergraduate-level courses in the same subjects. I have experience giving tutoring classes to both high school and undergraduate students.
I want to give classes because:
I decided to be a tutor on S2S because I know the feeling of needing some help in University and not having it. It is easy to have tutoring classes when you are in high school, but for University students, either they are ridiculously expensive, or they do not exist at all. Thus, when I discovered S2S, I decided I wanted to be a tutor to help change this paradigm.
Methodology:
As I only teach analytical courses, I have an exercise-focused method. I do not believe that knowing all the theories or making tons of notes will help you in an exam, and this is a mistake that most students make. In my classes, we will do several exercises, mainly the hardest ones available. By practicing these hard exercises, you will gain the confidence you need to perform well in an exam, where exercises are usually easier. From my previous experience as a tutor, this is a very effective method.
